Nations Creation
The History of African American Music

Nations Creation is a presentation about the history of African American music. Mark Tabron, accompanied by two to five musicians, performs the music and tells the story of the evolution of African American music. He chronicles the music, beginning with its African roots, to the slave work songs and Negro spirituals, thru gospel, blues, jazz, r&b and rap.

Nations Creation is truly a unique performance. It is an interactive presentation that is both educational and entertaining. Students have an opportunity to share their talents and participate in the “jam session”.

Mark also teaches how to use positive musical affirmations to enhance self-esteem, become a better student, and be more successful.

This is an excellent program for any time of year, and especially during black history month. The presentation can also be performed with a live band.
